12 Months

Likes

• Learning to walk with my walking toy and Mommy and Daddy!
• Playing with the head massager and Stitch; she loves rubbing against it and that makes me laugh!
• Climbing in and out of my little rocking chair!
• Fruit! I love eating any kind of fruit, but especially blueberries!
• Taking baths in the big tub! I love splashing and playing with my toys!

Dislikes

• Being told no, even though it's usually something I shouldn't be playing with.
• Ear infections: I just can't fully get rid of them.
• Teething: I'm crankier and more irritable than usual.
• Waking up in the middle of the night in my crib.

Monthly Milestones

• I can point now! However, I use my middle finger most often!
• I love dancing! When Mom or Dad asks if I'm a dancing baby, I start to sway from side to side!
• I took a couple steps at daycare to get to my walking toy!
• I say "hi" and "all done"!
• I have a tooth! It isn't fully out yet, but you can still see it!

11 Months

Likes

• Opening and closing doors: my bedroom, playhouse, and at daycare!
• Crawling all over and learning to walk with my walking toy!
• Feeding myself all kinds of foods from Cheerios to pasta!
• Playing with my new friends at daycare: Vivianne and Ayden!
• Playing with the tv remote! It's my favorite toy I'm not supposed to play with!

Dislikes

• Having ear infections, which I get frequently.
• Taking my yucky medicine for my ear infections.
• Being told no or having something taken away from me that I can't play with.
• Being left at daycare when I'm in a grumpy mood.

Monthly Milestones

• I'm starting to stand on my own for little amounts of time!
• I'm really good at feeding myself finger foods!
• I started taking baths in the big tub!
• I say "mama" now, although usually when I'm whining!
• I love playing basketball with Daddy in my room! I slam dunk on him all the time!

10 Months

Likes

• Crawling all over the apartment following Mommy and Daddy!
• Playing with my new walker toy!
• Trying new table foods, although I don't always actually like them!
• Chewing on anything and everything I can get my hands on!
• Playing with a spoon when I'm being fed at the table! I pretend to feed Mommy or Daddy!

Dislikes

• New textured food: I'll often spit it out onto my high chair.
• Being told no or having something I can't play with taken away from me.
• Getting in and out of my car seat a lot.
• Ear infections: I can't seem to get rid of them.

Monthly Milestones

• I'm finally crawling on my hands and knees all the time!
• I've started walking with my push toy!
• I fall asleep all by myself in my crib and am sleeping for longer periods of time!
• Sitting in my forward-facing car seat!
• I finally got to play in the snow! I wasn't quite sure what to make of it!

9 Months

Likes

• Ice cream! Mom and Dad share theirs with me and I love it: especially cookies and cream!
• Hitting toys together to make noise! Mom and Dad clap their hands and say "Yay Anthony!" and it makes me smile!
• Headbutting the cats when they come close to me! It's my way of saying I love them!
• Sitting in high chairs whenever Mom and Dad go out to eat! I get to play with my toys at the table!
• Snow! I love looking at it now that we have some, but it's been too cold to play in it.

Dislikes

• Getting taken out of the bathtub and being cold while Mom gets me ready for bed.
• Being put into my car seat, although I'm fine once I'm strapped into it.
• Taking long naps without Mom or Dad napping with me. I only sleep for 30 minute increments at daycare.
• Meeting new people without Mom or Dad being around.

Monthly Milestones

• I pull myself up to standing on everything! Mom and Dad bought me a push toy so I can practice walking soon!
• I sometimes crawl on my hands and knees, but I'm faster when I army crawl!
• I'm still teething and waiting for the teeth to cut through so I can start eating more table foods!
• I fall asleep in my crib all by myself at night and usually only wake up once!
• I'm going to start eating some of the lunch food at daycare!

8 Months

Likes

• Playing with my new Christmas toys, especially my play house and stacking tobbles! 
• Being pushed around in his Cozy Coupe! 
• Going to Friar basketball and hockey games! Although I usually nap during them for a little while. 
• Reaching out for and petting the cats! 
• Sleeping in with Mommy and Daddy! 

Dislikes

• Sleep training and having to fall asleep on my own. 
• Being told no. 
• Being put into my car seat. 
• The vacuum cleaner. 

Monthly Milestones

• I'm pulling myself up to standing! 
• I'm working on crawling on my hands and knees! (But I'm lazy and don't mind army crawling instead.) 
• I'm getting better at falling asleep on my own and sleeping in my crib all night! 
• I'm eating new snacks like Gerber Puffs! 
• I'm working hard on teething, but they're still not cutting through! 

7 Months

Likes

• Playing with rattles and any toy that I can shake!
• Playing in the bouncy seat at daycare and Gramma and Grampa's!
• Trying new foods like mashed potatoes and soup!
• Blowing raspberries!
• Looking at Christmas trees!

Dislikes

• Having my schedule disrupted, especially my bedtime schedule.
• Riding home from daycare in the backseat alone.
• Being overtired; I get grumpy and cry a lot.
• Using my sippy cup. It's a little too different from my bottles.

Monthly Milestones

• I started eating table foods like mashed potatoes and soup...and ice cream cake!
• I'm starting to push myself on to my knees!
• I make an "ooh" sound whenever I see something I like, such as our kitties and Christmas tree!
• I can hold my bottle by myself as long as it isn't too full!
• I'm starting to develop a little separation anxiety: I prefer Mommy and Daddy to strangers!

6 Months

Likes

• Playing with my toys in my room!
• Knocking over my stacking cup tower!
• Sitting up to play with my toys!
• Going to Friar hockey games!
• Seeing Mommy and Daddy when they pick me up from daycare!

Dislikes

• When I got an earache and couldn't sleep well.
• Peas and green beans: I refuse to eat them now.
• Being overtired: I get really upset and cry a lot more.

• I can sit up by myself now! As long as someone is next to me watching me!
• I'm eating second stage solid foods! Mixed fruits and veggies!
• When I see something I like I make an "ooh" sound!
• My bottom teeth still haven't come through, but they're close!
• We moved into a new house and I now have my own room!

• I'm getting better at sitting up by myself, but I still need a little support!

2 Months

• Having the hiccups.

• I give big smiles when I'm happy; especially when I see Mommy and Daddy!
• I purposefully put my hands into my mouth.
• I'm eating more!
• I'm sleeping longer and better at night.
• I reach for things when I'm on my play mat and kick my legs a lot.
• I rub my eyes when I get tired.

We went to Anthony's two month doctor appointment this morning and he is in great health! He now weighs 10lbs 15oz and measures 23 1/4 inches long! He also got his first round of vaccinations, including three shots, which he did very well with! We'll go back to the doctor in September for his 4 month appointment.

After his doctor appointment, we went to four daycares in East Greenwich for tours. We narrowed it down to three, but one of those doesn't have an available spots for an infant for August, so we're down to two. Matt and I like both, but we each have a favorite so now it's just deciding on one.

Our last errand today was a meeting with Brother Boniface at St. Pius about Anthony's baptism. We're all set for July 13 and just have to get Anthony's godfather, Nick's, paperwork to the church. And here is his adorable baptism invitation:

• Bath time, especially with Mommy and Daddy!
